Today is National Good Neighbor Day !
National Good Neighbor Day is observed annually on September 28. This day was created to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of a good neighbor.
It is a blessing to have a good neighbor, but it is even a greater thing to BE a good neighbor.Good neighbors often become friends.
Funny story, our next door neighbor’s lawn mower died and he walked across the street to ask his pal if he could borrow his. Unfortunately his Pal’s lawn mower was broken too. That day I was walking our dog and our neighbor stopped me to chat and told me about his lawn mower woes. I said well, you are free to borrow ours if you need. He was so thankful. He had the mower maybe an hour and pushed it back to us broken. He broke our lawn mower too. So that is 3 lawn mowers in a 4 house area that were broken. He felt terrible and personally took it down to the shop and paid to have it fixed. Our lawn mower is working better than ever. I am so glad we chose to be good neighbors and lend a hand!
