Freebie for Little League Month
Happy Little League Month!
My son played for years and we have a lot of great memories. Did you know there is a Little League Pledge. It was written in the 1950's and reiterates acceptable conduct of a Little Leaguer. The pledge, which has not changed since it was written and says
“I trust in God. I love my country and will respect its laws. I will play fair and strive to win, but, win or lose, I will always do my best.”
The most important part of this pledge is I trust in God. That speaks so clearly to me today. No matter what comes my way or what my day holds, I remain to have faith in God. I trust that he wants what is best for me. Thank God for team sports and teaching the importantance of the love of God and Country and teaching our children to always do their best.
