MELT & MOLD is one of the most popular activities at the Crayola Experience. The line is usually pretty long but the wait time is manageable and totally worth it!

Here you will choose a crayon color of your choice to melt in a mold of your choosing. The day we went you could choose from a Car, Ring, Shark and Seahorse.

You use melting machines almost like ovens to melt your crayon while watching the wax drip into the mold. On your turn you will put your Crayon in the machine slot pointy end down and close the door. It will lock and start melting the Crayon. This process takes about 5 minutes so be patient. When the wax is dry you can open the oven door and pull your newly molded crayon out. 

We did this activity a few times and noticed that after the wax had cooled it was sometimes difficult to pry the Molded Crayon out of the mold. Just raise your hand for help and the friendly staff will help you pry out your awesome molded creation.

My kids chose purple and blue crayons from the bin. There were a bunch of colors to choose from as well like yellow, red and green. You can choose one crayon at a time to melt and mold. Our first time through we molded a ring, shark and seahorse. We came back through the line a few more times to melt more fun shapes!
