DRIP ART is one of the most popular activities at the Crayola Experience. The line is usually pretty long but the wait time is manageable and totally worth it!

Here you will choose two crayons in any color of your choice to melt and create a swirly masterpiece. 

SUPER IMPORTANT: To start you open the drawer under your machine and make sure there is a piece of white circle card stock. If there isn't one there are plenty in a storage shelf next to the drawer. Simply push the card stock into place and shut the drawer. This is a very important step because without the card stock in place you will create a big mess instead of a masterpiece. We saw a few kids that ended up with a mess. Bummer...

Next, you will use melting machines almost like ovens to melt your first crayon. On your turn you will put your Crayon in the machine slot pointy end down and close the door. It will lock and start melting the Crayon. Watch the wax drip onto the white card stock circle. You can use the silver handle to control the spinning. Push Up to spin fast and down to spin slow. Halfway through a green light will come on and at that time you put your second crayon in the machine and repeat the steps. The whole process takes about 5 minutes so be patient. 

When the green light comes on a second time pull out the drawer and remove your swirly creation! Make sure you replace the white card stock circle before you leave. This sets up the machine for the next person.

We did this activity a few times and each time tried new speeds and colors. This activity was great fun because it challenged us to do the swirls differently every time.
